This has been a month full of activity around immigration reform in the Senate and the House.
Yesterday, the Senate Judiciary Committee passed key immigration amendments that now pave the way for a full vote by the senate on immigration reform.
In the House of Representatives, a deal has been reached. As reported by Politico.com, key house members came to agreement “in principle” and are moving forward towards a reform bill.
Efforts towards reform are inching along. Will it result in real reform? None the members of the Senate have yet threatened to block a vote. It remains to be seen whether the flilbuster threat prevents votes on key legislation.
It is a wait and see game. We will see if reform is really on the horizon.
