DEPORTATION DEFENSE

Removal proceedings for immigrants allegedly in the country without authoration take place before the administrative courts designated for hearing immigration cases. The Executive Office of Immigration Review, housed in the Department of Justice includes two courts:  the Office of the Immigration Judge and the Board of Immigration Appeals.   Certain decisions of the Board of Immigration Appeals may be appealed to the appropriate ciruit of the United States Court of Appeals.
